Corvette for Kids, (Formerly the Stone Soup Challenge)!

For the past 2 years, WCSX and Holy Cross Children’s Services have successfully teamed up to run the Stone Soup Challenge, and this year they have changed the name to: “Corvette For Kids”.

Win a Classic Corvette!

Similar to the previous two events, HCCS will be raffling off a Classic mechanically rebuilt Corvette. Raffle tickets will be available to the public for purchase online until September 4th at 11:59:59pm EST. All donations and raffle ticket sales will go to benefit Holy Cross Children’s Services.  The drawing for the winner will be made on September 10th 2016.

Let's Help the Kids!

Holy Cross Children’s Services has touched many lives, helping countless children and families in Michigan for over sixty five years who have been abandoned, gone through abuse, neglect, and/or suffer from substance abuse.

Information on Donations:

Tracy Performance in Roseville is assisting WCSX and Holy Cross Children's Services with the 1961 Corvette Convertible Raffle Car to be given away later this year on September 10th. We will be replacing the frame, brakes, fuel lines, brake lines, springs, differential and rebuilding the rest of the suspension with an original rebuilt assembly as well as helping out in other areas. We will also provide the engine and transmission mount assemblies, water pump, timing cover, balancer, tuneup parts and more. It is also getting new seat covers, seat foam, carpet, LH mirror and some other items.  It has had approximately $40,000 worth of parts and labor done to replace the original rusted frame and the other components listed above!

Automotive Machine of Fraser is providing a rebuilt 350 Chevrolet performance engine and flywheel. NOTE: They are now located in their new larger location at 33235 Kelly Road in Fraser Michigan 48026 just north of 14 Mile Road.

Tracy Performance will also be providing a rebuilt 4 speed and a new clutch setup.

Dynamic Refinishing of Detroit will be providing the chrome work on the bumpers and other components.

The body is being offered in its red survivor condition.  

We are looking for other donors to help with carpet, seats, convertible top restoration and other areas.  Please call Dennis at 586-772-0000 if you have any parts, service or can provide any labor toward this great cause.

You are welcome to stop and see the car when it is at our shop in Roseville, but call first as it will be at numerous events thoughout the season.  Raffle tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the links below or at our Corvette Parts and Service Center.  Thanks for looking and good luck with getting a winning ticket!
